Backyard Nest 2022

We have had a birdhouse in the backyard for years. 2021 was our first family (Ruth) and her 6 eggs/babies.

This year we again have a Titmouse - not sure if it's Ruth again.

The eggs were first spotted on March 23rd and all 6 eggs appeared on March 24... And all departed on May 3, 2022...

The eggs were first spotted on March 24, 2022. Six little guys.

On the same day, 50 feet away, a second birdhouse experienced a chickadee setting up home… Set up a nest, spent the night, then never came back. A one-night-stand? Very interesting behavior!

15 days later (a day late). Three eggs hatched. From the start, they beg!!

and outside the birdhouse…

And the next day, all 6 eggs have hatched!

Proof of 6

And BOTH parents are there to feed them.

Unclear on the concept

Bringing the food in to the hungry children.

You need at least ONE departure shot…

And finally ... departure of ALL the Sarah's

They were all gone in less than 10 minutes. The last one took almost 7 of those 10… Sarah-6 was a bit chicken…

What about the camera? We have an amazon purchased camera connected to our security system (so it records movement). It’s in Black and White most of the time since it’s dark in the box and we are looking at IR light. Otherwise it would be in color.
